4.1 Urban Economy and Status of the Town

The town serves as administration and trade center. The annual revenue of the municipality was 6.6 Million Birr while its expenditure was 6.56 Million Birr. The major sources of revenue were taxes, rent and service charges.

Education

There are four private kindergartens; five primary schools; one senior secondary school, one preparatory, one TVET and two colleges in the town. 

Health

Regarding health services in the town there are one health center, eight clinics, one health post and four pharmacies.

Municipal Services

Bekoji town has public meeting halls, abattoir, a general and cattle markets.
