5.1 Infrastructure

Regarding infrastructure, the town has 3 inlet/outlet roads to Maychew, Mehoni and Woldia. In the town there is 6 km asphalt road. The town gets 24 hours electric supply from the national grid, and has mobile and fixed telephone lines, has internet services, and a postal service with 50 boxes. The main water supply source is spring water and distributed through pipe system. The town has open ditches to discharge storm water. 

5.2 Housing

There are 748 private and government owned houses mainly built of wood and Hollow Concrete Block. Hollow Concrete Block is the widely available construction materials in the town.

5.3 Transport

There is daily inter urban transport service to and from different towns.The town has bus station.60 Bajaj taxis give intra urban transport service.
