5.1 Infrastructure
Durame town has 12km road that connects it to the main asphalt road that passes trough Addis Ababa Shashemenne to Woliyta Sodo towns. Similarly, it also has a gravel road that connects it to Asphalt road of Walayita Sodo from Addis Ababa through Buta Jira and Hosaina up to Mudala and Durgi as well as surrounding zones and towns in the region. Durame is also connected to Damboya and Angacha as well as to Sike Danama the capital of Badawacho. In the town, there are 23km gravel, 1 km cobble stone and 15 km compacted earth roads.
The town gets 24 hours electric supply from the national grid, mobile and fixed telephone lines, internet services and a postal service having 300 boxes. The main water supply sources of the town are the developed springs as well as potable ground water and there are distribution network and 20 public taps.
5.2 Housing
There are 3,570 (399 low cost, 150 Kebele, 2784 private and 237 Government offices and houses) in Durame town which were built of different materials.
5.3 Transport
There is daily inter-urban transport service to and from Addis Ababa, Shinshicho, Mudala, Doyogana, Angacha, Adillo, Sikedanama, Alaba, Shone, Bodit, Araka, Hawassa and Shashemenne. The town has a bus station. There are also horse drawn carts for giving intra-urban transport service.
