5.1 Infrastructure
Regarding infrastructure, the newly built asphalt road connects Jinka to Arbaminich and Karat towns while it has transport linkages with district capital cities such as Gazer, Tolta, Keyi Afar, Dimeka, Turmi, Omorate, Kangatin and Lemogento by gravel and paved roads. In the town there are 12.6 km gravel, 34.5 km medium gravel road 96.5 km paved road. In addition to these the town has 24 hours generator electric supply, mobile and fixed telephone lines, internet services and CDMA, and a postal service having 786 customers. The main water supply sources of the town are 4 deep ground water holes and there are distribution network and 17 public taps. To discharge storm water in the town, 0.7km open ditches were built.
5.2 Housing
There are 3,790 ( 630 low cost, 2256 private, 674 commercial and 230 government offices and houses) built of different materials in Jinka town.
5.3 Transport
Jinka town is located on the asphalt road that connects Arbaminich and Karat towns. In addition, there is daily inter-urban transport service to and from the 8 district capitals. The town has a bus station that was located in the 4600M2 and the bus station has capacity of having 80 vehicles at once. The data obtained shows that there are 210 vehicles carrying messengers daily. Though there is public toilet in the bus station, it lacks quality and measures should be given immediately. There are two fuel stations four garages in the town. There are also Bajajis and motor cycles for giving Intra-urban transport service following the path of asphalt road.
