5.1 Infrastructure
Regarding infrastructure the town has asphalt and gravel roads connecting it to different weredas in the zone and surrounding zones. In the town there are three main roads. The distribution of roads as per the type of construction materials shows that 10 km gravel, 7.5 km asphalt, and 1.2 km cobblestone roads.
The town gets 24 hours electric supply from the national grid, and has wireless, mobile and fixed telephone lines, internet services, and a postal service with 640 boxes. The main water supply source of the town is ground water distributed through piped network. The supply capacity of the town is 518.4 m3/hr. The town has open ditches and closed pipes to discharge storm water.
5.2 Houses
There are 6,646 houses in the town. The available construction materials are sand, wood and stone.
5.3 Transport
There is daily inter-urban transport service to and from six towns. The town has a bus station for inter urban mode of transportation. There are also 44 Bajaj taxis giving intra-urban transport services.
