5.1 Infrastructure
Regarding infrastructure the town has asphalt and gravel roads connecting it to different weredas in the zone, surrounding zones, towns in the region and Addis Ababa. In the town there are 11.2 km gravel, 10 km asphalt, 11.7 cobble stone, and 88.3 km compacted earth roads. In addition to these the town gets 24 hours electric supply from the national grid, mobile and fixed telephone lines, internet services, and a postal service having 500 boxes. The main water supply sources of the town are the 40 springs and water is distributed through piped water distribution network and 29 public taps. The town has 50 km open ditches and 30km closed pipes to discharge storm water in the.
5.2 Houses

5.3 Transport
There is daily inter-urban transport service to and from Addis Ababa, Jinka, Chencha, Genta, Lante, Shele, Wolaita, Hawassa and Shashemene. There is air transport service 6 times a week to and from Addis Ababa. The town has a bus station and also international standard airport. There are also 58 minibus taxis for giving intra-urban transport service.
