5.1 Infrastructure
Regarding infrastructure, the town has asphalt and gravel roads connecting it to different woreda, zone, region and Addis Ababa. In the town, there are 75.2km gravel, 22km asphalt, 17km earth pressed and 3.978 km cobble stone roads. In addition to these; the town gets 24 hours electric supply from the national grid, mobile and fixed telephone lines, internet services and postal service with 340 boxes. The main water supply source is potable underground water distributed with pipe system and 36 public water distribution points. The town has open and closed ditch systems to discharge storm water.
5.2 Housing
There are 24,678 private and government owned houses in the town. The towns were mainly built of mud and wood. Wood, stone and mud are the widely available construction materials in the town.
5.3 Transport
There is daily inter urban transport service to and from eight towns. 15 mini bus,and 29 Bajaj taxis and 306 horse drown carts give intra urban transport service
