5.1 Infrastructure

Regarding infrastructure, the town has 3 inlet/outlet roads connecting it to different weredas in the zone, surrounding zones, towns in the region and Addis Ababa. The distribution of roads as per the type of construction materials shows that 2.3 km are gravel, 4.7 km asphalt, and 30.73 km compacted earth roads. The town gets 24 hours electric supply from the national grid, mobile and fixed telephone lines, and has internet services, and a postal service having 89 boxes. The main water supply source of the town are spring water and potable underground and distributed through piped network and 10 public taps.

5.2 Housing

There are 2227 private and government houses in Yabelo town built up of different materials and used for various functions. The housing backlog is estimated to be 200.

5.3 Transport

There is daily inter-urban transport service to and from Addis Ababa and surrounding towns. The town has a bus station. There are four taxis and 20 horse- drawn carts for giving intra-urban transport service.
