1.1 Location

Yabelo town is located in the southern part of Ethiopia in Oromia National Regional State, Borena zone, Yabelo wereda at a distance of 565 km from Addis Ababa.  Its astronomical location is 4º53’’North latitude and 38º06’ East longitude. Yabelo is one of the reform towns in the region and has a city administration, municipality and 2 kebeles. The town has Integrated Development Plan which was prepared in 2007.
