5.1 Infrastructure
Regarding infrastructure, the town has asphalt and gravel roads connecting it to different woredas, zone, region and Addis Ababa. The distribution of roads as per the type of construction materials shows that 21.78 are km gravel, 8.04 km asphalt 7.04km earth pressed and 1.25km cobble stone roads. The town gets 24 hours electric supply from the national grid, and has mobile and fixed telephone lines, has internet services, and a postal services. The main water supply source of the town is potable underground water and distributed with pipe system and six public water distribution points. The town has open ditches and closed pipes to discharge storm water.
5.2 Housing
There are 3,875 private and government owned houses in the town. Houses were mainly built of wood, Hollow Concrete Blocks. Eucalyptus tree and stone are widely available construction materials in the town.
5.3 Transport
There is daily inter-urban transport service to and from three towns. The town has a bus station. There are eight Bajaj taxis giving intra-urban transport service.
