5.1 Infrastructure
The town has asphalt and gravel roads connecting it to different weredas in the zone and surrounding areas, Adama and Addis Ababa. There are three main roads, 60 km gravel, 11 km asphalt, and 48 km compacted earth roads, 240m cobble stone road.
The town gets 24 hours electric supply from the national grid, and has digital wireless, mobile and fixed telephone lines, internet services, and a postal service with 310 boxes. Main water supply source of the town is ground water distributed through piped network and 36 public taps. The town has open ditches to discharge storm water.
5.2 Housing
There are 11,400 residential houses in Arsi-Negelle town. The housing backlog is estimated to be 520. The available construction materials in the town are wood, mud, sand, stone and HCB.
5.3 Transport
There is daily inter-urban transport service with 295 medium and mini buses to and from five towns. There are also 85 Bajaj taxis giving intra-urban transport service. <
