Location

Almu Felege Selam town is located in Benishangul Gumuz Regional state, Metekel Zone, Pawe wereda at a distance of 556 kms from Addis Ababa and 17 kms from Zonal capital.

Almu Felege Selam town was founded in 1984.

 Population
According to the Central Statistical Authority projection, in 2011 the population of the town was 8303. Out of this, 4044 (48.7%) were males and 4259 (51.3%) were females. The same source shows that 3139 (37.8%) were within the age group of 0-14 years, 4816 (58%) within 15-59 years and 349 (4.2%) 60 years and above. The average household size in the town is calculated to be 4 in the same period.
