  Infrastructure
Regarding infrastructure, the town has two inlet/outlet gravel roads connecting it to Addis Ababa and Guba. The distribution of roads as per the type of construction materials shows 10 km is asphalt and 17.47 km compacted earth roads. In addition to these; the town gets 24 hours electric supply from the national grid, has mobile and fixed telephone lines, internet, and a postal service with 50 boxes. The main water supply sources of the town is underground borehole water and distributed with piped network and 11 public taps.

   Housing
There are a total of 1500 private and government owned houses built of different materials in the town. The housing backlog in the town is 600. Houses were mainly built of mud and wood wall construction materials. Wood, stone, and Hollow Concrete Blocks are the widely available construction materials in the town.

   Transport
There is daily inter-urban transport to and from Assosa. There are 20 Bajaj taxis giving transport service within the town itself.
