Population
According to the Central Statistical Authority projection, population of the town was 11835 in 2011. Out of this, 5688 (48.06%) were males and 6147 (51.94%) were females. The age composition shows that 4556 (38.5%) were within the age group of 0-14 years, 6805 (57.5%) within 15-59 years and 474 (4.01%) 60 years and above. The average household size in the town is calculated to be 4 in the same period.

   URBAN MANAGEMENT AND PLANNING
Mambuk has a city administration consisting of two kebelles. The town has Development plan which was prepared in 2006.
