1. Role of the Civil Engineering
- Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, the Civil Engineer will ensure that all the ENGINEERING aspects related to the ESTDP implementation are well designed and carried out to the best standard and on time in collaboration with the stakeholders and the Procurement Unit.
2. Specific Responsibilities
- Draft terms of reference and/or contribute to the formulation of all interventions entailing civil engineering work such as the rehabilitation of churches and monuments, road construction and improvement, water supply and sanitation, any other infrastructure and civil works
- Ensure technical supervision of the interventions as required
- Monitor and ascertain compliance with technical standards for the various types of civil works undertaken under the ESTDP
- Draft notes for the PCU and policy makers reporting project implementation progress and/or advising on the course of action that could be considered to optimize the success of the project
- Monitor the implementation timetable and alert the Authorities in a timely manner
