Progress: The IUDF has been successfully implemented in Addis Ababa, Mekelle, and Hawassa, with noticeable improvements in urban management and infrastructure.
2. Urban Green Spaces Initiative:
Objective: To increase the availability of green spaces in urban areas, improving environmental quality and livability.
Components:
Park Development: Creation of new parks and rehabilitation of existing ones.
Community Gardens: Establishment of community gardens to promote urban agriculture and green living.
Green Corridors: Development of green corridors connecting different parts of the cities.
Progress: New parks and green spaces have been established in several cities, including a major urban park in Addis Ababa.
