Addis Ababa, July 22/2018 (From the Ministry) The first draft of the survey to modernize the procurement system, conducted by an international organization called “Daylight International”, has been presented to the leaders of the urban and infrastructure sectors and to the officials and experts involved in procurement and finance.
The survey presented at the Ministry’s office hall aims to gather additional inputs for a consultation forum to modernize the procurement system and to complete the study in a complete manner. The forum is chaired by the Honorable State Minister Yetmegeta Asrat (PhD).
The research team that submitted the draft study stated that it is a study that aims to transform the government’s initiative to implement transparency and accountability practices into a reality by implementing technology-assisted procurement and financial management in institutions based on the distance traveled by the consultants and the information obtained from meetings with relevant parties in the sector, and by taking the information obtained through interviews and based on the established research methodology.
