Addis Ababa, January 8, 2018 (EFE) A ceremony of appreciation and recognition was held for the stakeholders who participated in the successful construction of the integrated model village in Tulu Arara city.

The integrated model village, which was built by the Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure through the winter volunteer service program, was officially inaugurated by His Excellency Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) on December 29, 2018 and handed over to the beneficiaries.

The construction of a modern integrated model village and its delivery to the users was made possible through the cooperation of various stakeholders and relevant institutions under the Ministry, which will benefit 150 citizens. Following the official announcement and announcement to the users, Honorable Minister Chaltu Sani said that it was necessary to give certificates of recognition and appreciation to the parties that played a significant role in the construction process and success.

On the other hand, the Minister of Urban Development and Infrastructure, Honorable Minister Chaltu Sani, expressed her gratitude to the parties that were engaged in the construction industry in the country and called upon the Ministry to cooperate in various charitable works. They have been making significant contributions for the past several years and have still fulfilled their civic and social responsibilities with their skills, knowledge and funds to the success of the construction of the integrated model village in Tulu Arara city.

The Honorable Minister urged organizations and individuals participating in this program to join hands with us in our efforts to build fully-developed residential villages that can serve as models for the country, as in the past.

The Honorable Minister explained that the integrated model village was handed over to the beneficiaries in the South West Shewa Zone, Sebeta Hawas Woreda, and Tulu Arara City of the Oromia National Regional Government. The Honorable Minister stated at the recognition ceremony that the model village is comfortable, clean, suitable for living, equipped with internal roads, using electricity and solar power, equipped with sports facilities, using urban agriculture to sustainably improve the living standards of the residents, and an integrated system that includes a production and marketing chain has been established.
