Draft decrees prepared by the Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure and sent to the House of Ministers and the House of People’s Representatives to be approved and sent to the Standing Committee on Urban Infrastructure and Transport for further consideration.
The Deputy Chairman of the Urban Infrastructure and Transport Standing Committee, Honorable Eshetu Temeseng (Dr.), who started the discussion, said that it was necessary to have a common understanding on the decrees in order to create clarity before the approval and to respond to the basic questions to enable the decrees to be approved and put into operation in a shorter period of time.
In the 2017 fiscal year, they were prepared and sent to the House of Ministers and the House of Representatives to be approved and sent to the Standing Committee on Urban Infrastructure and Transport for further consideration. .
After the proclamations were presented in detail, several proposals were raised from the standing committees. The members of the standing committee have raised that the role of the ministry should be detailed so that the decrees can be implemented down to the lower structure and how the amended decrees differ from the existing decrees.
Finally, the top management of the ministry and the relevant officials gave the appropriate explanation and response.
