The first ever national Ethiopia Infrastructure and Construction Week program kicked off with great fanfare at the Addis International Convention Center in Addis Ababa.

The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia, His Excellency Ato Temesgen Tiruneh, senior government officials, invited guests and participants.

The first-ever national event under the theme “Ethiopia Builds” and scheduled to run from April 9-12, 2018, is expected to be a place where sector actors and stakeholders can come together to build Ethiopia, develop the sector creatively, quickly and efficiently, exchange experiences, share a common vision for Ethiopia’s revival, and shed light on bright directions that will help advance the sector.

Today’s program included an exhibition showcasing national achievements and technological options in the infrastructure and construction sector, which was opened by a guest of honor and visited by senior government officials.

The event, which was opened with great fanfare today and organized by the Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure Development in collaboration with partners, will feature panel discussion programs where various documents on the achievements and future bright directions of the national sector will be presented.
