Today, we attended the 10th Forum of Ethiopian Cities in Samarra, a city that is on a fast prosperity march in the Afar region, the birthplace of humanity to divide.

During the evening, we visited the Corridor Development operation of the city of Samarra, which is being accelerated by integrating modernity with the culture, traditions and values of the people of the region.

The fact that Samarra was urbanized by plan, its strategic location and the opportunity that has given her the dedication and commitment of the leadership and people of the region and city government since my brother, the noble head of state Haji Awal Arba, is fast-growing, while our party’s idea of corridor development has not cooked her with more beauty and value.

In particular, the way in which the corridor development works not only reflect modernity but also the cultural traditions of the people, for example, the way the Afar people are included in the corridor development of the gille, camel, traditional mill, traditional men’s pillow, selen and milk drink (Kaunta), for which they are known by label.

It is also a corridor development operation, complete with integrated infrastructure that is 2 km long at the level of basic construction and can comfortably accommodate 6 vehicles, including a walkway, bicycle path as well as road and green development.

I will then vie to ensure on this occasion that we will continue to make our efforts to make development efforts that will further integrate a rich party-like modernity into the identities, history, culture and values of our nation’s people.
