1. Affordable Housing Program:

• Objective: To provide affordable housing solutions for low-income families.
• Components:
  • Housing Construction: Building of affordable housing units using cost-effective and sustainable materials.
  • Financial Assistance: Provision of subsidies and low-interest loans to eligible families.
  • Public-Private Partnerships: Collaboration with private developers to increase housing supply.
• Progress: Over 5,000 housing units have been constructed and handed over to low-income families in Addis Ababa and other cities.

2. Housing Rehabilitation and Upgrade Program:

• Objective: To improve the living conditions of existing housing units through rehabilitation and upgrades.
• Components:
  • Structural Repairs: Repairing and strengthening the structural integrity of old and dilapidated buildings.
  • Utility Upgrades: Upgrading utilities such as water, electricity, and sanitation to meet modern standards.
  • Aesthetic Improvements: Enhancing the aesthetic appeal of residential areas through renovations and beautification projects.
• Progress: Over 2,000 housing units have been rehabilitated, significantly improving the quality of life for residents.
