Addis Ababa, March 3, 2018 (K.M.L.M.) stated that there is a need to build an independent, independent and diverse civil servant to provide superior services to citizens.
This was announced at the Ministry’s Public Service Management Reform Forum, which was organized around two documents.
The Minister of Urban and Infrastructure DETA, who opened the forum with a speech, said that it is necessary to build an independent, independent and diverse civil servant to provide fast, efficient and superior services to the citizens.
Mr. Bahru Ashne, who presented the study, presented in detail the issues that should be focused on in the reform regarding the clear division of work and interaction between appointees and government employees.
Ato Bahru added that in order to be free and independent, it is necessary to follow a fair practice by preparing frameworks that ensure performance effectiveness, competition, professional competence and skill-based employment, transparency and accountability, and by strengthening the organization and procedures for resolving employee complaints and disciplinary procedures.
On the other hand, Mr. Tewodros Semere, who presented an awareness document about the nature and implementation of diversity and inclusion to the leaders and employees of the institution, said that after thoroughly evaluating the existing conditions and existing practices of the institution, he emphasized that detailed legal frameworks should be prepared and implemented that take into account ethnicity, gender, age and disability.
When general legal frameworks are issued and implemented, the decisions and information provided by the sector should be implemented by preparing strategies, plans and manuals based on diversity and inclusiveness.
Several comments were raised from the House after both documents were submitted. When the reform enters the implementation phase, it was stated in the forum that a reform is being made that can serve the urban residents equally, even if governments change, by changing the existing system.
