The leadership and staff of the Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure (MoIGD) celebrated World AIDS Day and the Day of Anti-Sexual Violence with various programs. World AIDS Day is celebrated for the 38th time globally and for the 37th time nationally, with the theme “Ensuring the sustainability of the HIV/AIDS response by tackling challenges.” The Head of the Office added that women have a key role to play in preventing women, who make up more than half of the population in our country, from violence, increasing their capacities and freeing them from economic dependence, and to accelerate the prosperity of our country and reach the desired level of development. “Women deserve to be protected, their peace, their democratic and human rights should be respected,” he said. The main purpose of the festival is to raise awareness among the leaders and staff of the Ministry on the occasion of the Day of Anti-HIV/AIDS and Sexual Violence, and to continue to strengthen our partnership by creating conducive conditions for the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS and sexual violence, and to raise awareness about the negative impact of HIV/AIDS in the workplace and to hold discussions that will lead to a change in attitudes and mindsets.
