Addis Ababa, April 26/2018 (Kemli) A delegation from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development of the Kingdom of Eswatini exchanged experiences with the Ministry of Urban Development and Infrastructure on urban planning and settlement management systems, urban renewal and corridor development programs, urban land development management and cadastre systems, and urban infrastructure management.
The delegation of the Kingdom of Eswatini noted that they gained experience in the main issues presented in the sector that would be useful for their country’s overall policy reform efforts and appreciated the rapid urban development efforts in Ethiopia.
In a summary given by the Executive Director of Policy and Strategy Research and Development at the Ministry, Aman Assefa (PhD), the Ministry stated that the government is working with regional and city administrations to formulate effective policies, strategies and plans in line with the focus it has given to urban development.
He said that good experiences are shared through such forums and that other African countries can learn from similar experiences, adding that our country, Eswatini, has a lot to learn from such official consultations, said Aman Assefa (PhD).
