Addis Ababa, March 23, 2018 (Xinhua) — A press release on the continent-wide New Africa Real Estate Expo, which will be held at the Science Museum for 4 consecutive days from April 15 to April 18, 2018, was given today at the InterLuxury Hotel.
The expo is jointly organized by the Ethiopian Real Estate Developers Association and Doxa Events.
The expo, which is expected to attract over five thousand people, will bring together government officials, members of the African Real Estate Association including financial institutions, real estate developers, construction material suppliers, investors and members of the homebuying community.
Three programs will be held at this expo: the Ethiopian Real Estate Developers Association will hold its first annual general meeting; the second will be an international conference; and the third will be an exhibition. This will serve as a platform for Africans to exchange experiences in the field, which will have a significant diplomatic value, according to the board members of the association.
The expo will provide a platform for real estate developers and home buyers to meet, build trust, exchange information, and conduct purchases and sales.
Within a year of its establishment, the association has developed a five-year strategy and drafted a draft regulation to implement the approved Real Estate Proclamation.
The press release stated that the association has been established in this short period of time, involving less than one hundred members, and facilitating the opportunity for local developers to work abroad in a short period of time; conducting sustainable comprehensive housing development in the next 10 years and working towards sustainable urban development in the next 50 years.
Finally, he thanked the Ministry of Urban Development and Infrastructure for its efforts in promoting the development of the sector, establishing the association, and ensuring that the sector is governed by law.
