Adama, August 30, 2018 (K.M.L.M.) In order to achieve the target, awareness training has been conducted in all departments in the 2019 budget year only in accordance with the guidelines.
At the training, the Chief Executive Officer of the Management, Ato Abera Amenta, said that all departments should be aware of all legal frameworks when planning procurement plans and prepare the budget on time, price, quality, carefully and responsibly.
Officials and experts of the Federal Government Procurement and Property Authority, who provided training on the general legal frameworks of procurement, emphasized that institutions should move away from the traditional procurement system and follow the digital system that the government has developed and implemented.
He explained to the trainees that currently, all federal institutions must conduct procurement electronically, and that this can only be done if the institution’s top management approves it for various reasons.
The training participants were given appropriate explanations based on their questions about the challenges they face in implementing the system.
