The evaluation of the performance of the preparation phase of the last 4 months of the government service and management reform of the urban and infrastructure sector and the experience of the Ministry of Labor and Skills were also presented as experiences.

Senior leaders of the Ministry’s office and respondent institutions and members of the Reform Committee were present on the stage, and leaders invited from the Civil Service Commission were also present.

In the report, the 4-month performance report of the Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure, Ethiopian Roads Administration, Ethiopian Construction Authority and Construction Management Institute was presented and evaluated, and the experience of the preparation phase of the Ministry of Labor and Skills, which was believed to have the best experience among the eight institutions selected to be put into operation in the first phase, was presented and learned from.

In addition, the forum is the place where the current situation of the institutions of the sector is exchanged.

In the explanation given about the importance of the reform, it was stated in the forum that it is necessary to improve the government service delivery, which is currently broken, by providing fair and accessible services and increasing the level of satisfaction of the user society.

The Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure is one of the eight institutions in the second category among the institutions that have been divided into three rounds to carry out the preparation phase, so the leadership and workers who are members of the reform committee have been directed to work together to complete the preparation phase of the reform before the set deadline.
