Adama, February 16, 2018 (Kemli) The Minister of Urban and Infrastructure stated this during the first half-year plan implementation report of the Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure for the 2018 budget year at the sector conference of the institution attended by the chairmen and members of the Standing Committee on Urban, Infrastructure and Transport Affairs of the Federal House of People’s Representatives, senior leaders of the ministry and relevant institutions, as well as regional and city administration officials.
The results being recorded in the urban development sector in general are very impressive, and the members of the Standing Committee on Urban, Infrastructure and Transport Affairs of the Federal House of People’s Representatives said that the monitoring and support provided by the regional and city administration officials in the regions have contributed greatly to this result.
The first half of the 2018 budget year presented at the conference drew many suggestions from the participants, and the Honorable Minister, in his summary, said that by establishing a cadastral system at the city and regional levels, tangible results should be recorded in terms of creating a satisfied society and service delivery.
He stressed that in the future, urban income, housing development and housing information management, urban coverage, expanding rural kebele development centers, modernizing service delivery, cities should be guided by plans, and rural connectivity for food security projects and in general, since the initiative of the Honorable Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) is ours, everyone from leadership to implementation should always work hard for the success of the plan.
