This year’s Women’s Day (8 March) is being celebrated for the 115th time globally in our country Ethiopia and for the 50th time with the theme ”Equality of the Women’s Vote and for a prosperous Ethiopia’.
In a message from the Minister of State for Urban and Infrastructure, Ms. Helen Debebe, said women have been able to benefit equally in the social, economic and political spheres in the victory they have endured in different countries for women’s equality and freedom
He stated that women should work hard for the change and development of themselves or their country, and to change themselves with knowledge, skills and perseverance to achieve which status, he stressed that they should be resolutely committed to ensuring women’s rights in the years so far to address issues that have not been resolved by women’s voices as a nation, and Hon’s Minister of Honor, Dheta, Ms. Helen.
In a paper on the benefit of women in the rural road link for food security projects, Ms Melat Ananya said that the value of the road to education, pregnancy and childbirth to go to health facilities, water for the extraction, to market the produce of which they produced was so salient that the ministry was paying attention to it, especially because of the lack of streamlined roads for women living in low-lying areas
On the other hand, Ms. Genet Hagos, the chair of the Women’s Union at the Ministry, mentioned that when we celebrate the holiday, women should organize and work together to secure rights for working, speaking, gathering and more as equal to men and a few determined women who have reignited much of the oppression and pressure that has given us freedom to which we have today.A.A said we’re going to be able to maintain the most leaderless and frantic fight result they started in 1990.
Godge entrusts Ms. Genet to ensure that women take active participation in the elimination of customary practices, the prevention of sexual violence, and the realization of rights granted by the Constitution that are independent of the exploitation of labor
In her closing remarks, the Minister of Honor, Mrs. Helen, said that the role of leaders at all levels in ensuring women’s participation and maintaining peace as a nation was extremely significant.
