The Ethiopian Infrastructure and Construction Week, under the theme “Ethiopia Builds; Innovation, Speed and Quality for Infrastructure Development”, has officially opened at the New International Convention Center with an exhibition and panel discussion.
The Honorable Minister said at the event that the construction industry sector is contributing to Ethiopia’s national development needs and growth.
He explained that construction has been making great strides in terms of job creation and infrastructure development, and has been receiving special attention from the government.
He indicated that the ministry is working diligently to address the challenges arising from the sector to enhance the development of the construction industry and ensure its continuous improvement.
He said that it is important to adopt international experiences related to the nature of the industry in order to improve the development, growth and success of the construction industry.
He said that the forum will identify the gap between the demand and supply of resources used for the efficiency of construction works, provide solutions, solve problems in the field, and gain international experience and technology transfer.
The exhibition and panel discussion will last until April 12, 2018.
