The Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure Development is actively participating in the 800 million one-day tree planting program.
The ministry’s staff and officials conducted the tree planting in Akaki Qaliti Sub-city District 3 of Addis Ababa City Administration.
Minister of Urban and Infrastructure Development Chaltu Sani said that Ethiopia is fulfilling its responsibility to combat global climate change.
She also stated that the planted trees will be monitored and cared for by the ministry’s responsible institutions and safety net members until they grow and are used.
