Addis Ababa, October 12, 2021 (Melmi) – Eng. Muhamed Abdurahman, who was appointed by Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed as the Minister of Urban and Infrastructure, has formally taken over the office from Ms. Chaltu Sani.
During the handover ceremony, Ms. Chaltu Sani provided a comprehensive briefing regarding the performance of tasks accomplished to date, ongoing projects, and key areas for future focus.
The outgoing Minister highlighted the successful work undertaken over the past few years and expressed great satisfaction with the results achieved.
Eng. Muhamed Abdurahman, the Minister of Urban and Infrastructure, stated that initiatives and infrastructure projects launched within the sector—as well as policy reforms designed to effectively address the needs of urban communities—would continue with improved efficiency and momentum despite the leadership transition. He further expressed his readiness to competently discharge the national responsibilities entrusted to him and to elevate the sector to a higher level. Management members of the Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure participated in the introduction and handover ceremony.
