5.1 Infrastructure
Regarding infrastructure, the town has asphalt and gravel roads connecting it to different woreda, zone, region and Addis Ababa. The distribution of roads as per the type of construction materials shows that, 30 km are gravel, 4.054 km asphalt and 2km cobble stone roads. In addition to these; the town gets 24 hours electric supply from the national grid, mobile and fixed telephone lines, and has internet services, and a postal service with 500 boxes. The main water supply source is potable underground water and distributed with piped network system and 26 public water distribution points. The town has open ditches s to discharge storm water.
5.2 Housing
There are 10,705 private and government owned houses in the town. Most of the houses were built of mud and wood. Wood, stone, sand and Hollow Concrete Blocks are widely available construction materials in the town.
5.3 Transport
There is daily inter urban transport service to and from seven towns. The town has bus station.75 Bajaj,and 160 minibus taxis and 410 horse drown carts give intra urban transport services
