1.1 Location
Mojo is located in Oromia National Regional State, East Shewa Zone at a distance of 70 km from Addis Ababa, and 25 Km from Adama. Its astronomical location is 08º 35’ North Latitude and 39º 07’East Longitude.
1.2 Foundation
The city was founded in 1925.
Mojo is one of the reform towns in the region and has a city administration, municipality and two kebelles. The town has a structure plan which was prepared in 2009.
