Infrastructure
Regarding infrastructure, the town has 4 asphalt and gravel roads connecting it to different woreda, zone, region and Addis Ababa. The distribution of roads as per the type of construction materials shows that 7.5km are gravel, 3km asphalt and 0.5km cobblestone. In addition to these; the town gets 24 hours electric supply from the national grid, mobile and fixed telephone lines, and has internet services, and a postal service. The main water supply sources of the town are spring and ground water and are distributed through piped network and 10 public taps. The town has open ditches to discharge storm water.
 
Housing
There are 3,335 private and government owned houses built of different materials in Haromaya town. Houses were mainly built of mud and wood.
 
Transport
There is daily inter-urban transport service to and from Bate, Harar, Diredawa and Aweday towns. The town has several Bajaj taxis for intra-urban transport service.
