The built up area of Sebeta town is 9,645 ha and it has elongated shape. Its altitude is 2060–2670 meter above sea level. It has mean annual temperature of 12.7ºC and mean annual rainfall of 500 –1500mm. The principal natural constraints for the physical expansion of the town are the existence of mountain and while the manmade constraints are high tension lines and informal settlements.
