Infrastructure
Regarding infrastructure, the town has asphalt and gravel roads connecting it to different towns, zones, regions and Addis Ababa with four outlets. The distribution of roads as per the type of construction materials shows that 123 km gravel, 10.3 km asphalt and 3km cobble stone. In addition to these the town gets 24 hours electric supply from the national grid, mobile and fixed telephone lines, has internet services and a postal service having 744 boxes. The main water supply sources of the town are from potable under ground water (75%) and river (25%).There is pipe system and 32 public tabs available in the town. The town has open and closed ditch system to discharge storm water.
Housing
There are 7324 private, 2039 government, 152 credit and 1413 condominium houses in Waliso town. The construction materials are mainly wood, mud and blocket.
Transport
There is daily inter-urban transport service to and from fifteen towns using the available bus station. There are 178 Bajajs and 230 horse driven carts in the town for giving Intra-urban transport service.
