The built up area of Fiche town is 3,325ha and it has a compact shape. Its altitude is 2800 m above sea level; major or dominant soil is red and black basaltic soil. It has mean annual temperature of 21ºC and mean annual rainfall of 1200–1300 mm. The prevailing wind direction is from east to west. The principal manmade constraints are existence of illegal settlement and urban rural boundary conflict.
